Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage
Original Medicare includes Part A and Part B. Medicare Advantage (Part C) is another way to get Medicare coverage through a Medicare-approved private plan.
- Original Medicare generally lets you use any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare nationwide. You may add a separate Part D drug plan and, if eligible, Medigap coverage.
- Medicare Advantage plans may use provider networks, referrals, or prior authorization. Most include Part D. Plan costs and extra benefits vary; this page does not compare or rank available plans.
